Combat recruiter
I found this cartoon on Confessions of a Military Recruiter, and I think it summarizes perfectly the way recruiters are treated by the loony left these days.

Why is it that some people don’t want military recruiters in the schools because we’re “preying” on America’s youth since they’re too young to “understand” what the military is really all about. YET, it’s OK for these same kids to go out and protest against the war, against the government, against recruiters, against the soldiers…….. If these kids are apparently too dumb to understand it all to enlist – why are they allowed to protest? Since they “don’t understand” I’m going to assume that somebody is making their opinions for them. If that is the case (which it obviously is since American teenagers are dumb) than wouldn’t the “anti-everything” crowd be preying on kids just like we are? Aren’t these protesters ABUSING these kids to push their own political agenda? Am I just crazy or do I have a point here?
If kids are so “dumb” why does the State of California want to lower the voting age to 16? They can’t figure out if the War in Iraq is right or wrong but they can vote for president? Why can, with their simple understanding of the world, raise a child if they want? (without their parent’s permission I might add) I think I may do a post about this whole situation later. Kids are allowed so much freedom in our Country, and can make so many choices that will effect them for the rest of their lives. Yet they’re “too dumb” to talk to a recruiter.
Yeah, I know, this post breaks my plan to focus more on myself rather than politics and society. I’m still a conservative with opinions – deal with it. Besides, I’m not planning on returning to my previous focus any time soon … I just wanted to share this.
